this morning, i finished the last exam of my first semester at UOM. after closing off my 8th semester overall, i have to say that i have never stayed the whole three hour period at write an exam... until today.
so i started thinking of how many classes and exams i did take... so let's take a look:

from this list, i count 59... i'm working mostly from memory here, but i'm fairly confident it is accurate (also leaving out the exams i wrote this semester).
not to say all of these classes are easy, but the exam that i wrote today (Human Behaviour) looks at 10 different perspectives/approaches/theories in understanding how humanity operates and how to work with them... and writing six long essays takes a very, very long time.

well, a lot of time has past since my last entry. this is really on account of my computer frying in my cabin this summer and having a job that is constantly on the go. still, i would like to get this blog going again, filled with random insight from my life experience.

also, i will explain the lack of caps (minus the last two blogs) and why i will make the switch to using them (which was the plan. six months ago...).

I have finished my post-college break and am reading to start blogging again. The two weeks after my graduation weekend were full of reading books, watching television, and playing board games. Still, with all this I felt that the need to do something exciting before I started back at camp, so I flew out to Vancouver to hang out with friends on the West coast. I left Winnipeg on a cold, snowy morning in April (!?) and arrived in sunny and warm Vancouver... definitely an awesome trade.

This trip was full of MORE board games (Settlers, Risk, Wizard, Phase 10)(which are actually card games...), dining at BC exclusive restaurants (White Spot, Red Robins, random BC Sushi shops). It was a good refresher before this upcoming Four Month Storm (more to come on this later).

I also went on a day trip to the Yukon. Was a good time, will also blog about that at a later date...

I still want to talk about my grad weekend, but will also save that for another post.

I am currently in the Whiteshell, where I'll be living in the boonies and continuing the purge of everything that goes along with city life. And working, of course.

Chapter Finished.

For the past 3.5 years of my life, I have been attending a small Christian college in southern Manitoba called Providence College & Theological Seminary. During my stay there, I completed a one year TESOL certificate and four year Social Science degree, as well as earned a minor in Biblical and Theological Studies. The part that I have earned it really hasn't hit me yet, I feel like I should be going back in the Fall as I have had the mindset of returning three times now. I'm sure the Fall will be interesting.

Right now, the plan is to rest, read, and write for the next two (maybe three!) weeks and then head back to Manitoba to work for four months at Lake Nutimik Baptist Camp in the Whiteshell.

Plans for today: clean up around the house, settle in room, read a book, and watch season 6 of Survivor!!

i am currently working on my last two papers at Providence College... a lot of my friends are done, but i am still chugging away at my school work. i finished my last exam today; it was very difficult, but i feel confident in my answers and look forward to seeing how i finished.

anyway, i will be up late tonight working on my last assignments... i am drinking my first cup of coffee for the night, hopefully it will be enough.

then grad weekend begins!!!

year eight.

so, i've been given the opportunity to serve at camp nutimik again. the past few summers have been quite the adventure, a lot of good times and a lot more hard times, but i'm still excited. this summer i want to grow more as a leader; last year i spoke in front of large audiences, and while i didn't do a terrible job, i wasn't the most natural speaker... so i want to develop that. also, i want to spend some time developing some devo's for the staff. i want to be able to whip up a good one and communicate it effectively.

also, this directly applies with what i want to do with my life. someday i hope to work in administration in a social work office somewhere. i like working with people.

call me crazy, but imma goin' back fer mo'
